I love this. The idea that men are just as objectified as women in comic books is laughable. Kind of like the men’s rights activists who cite the draft as “lady privilege.” Who draws comic books? Who makes the majority of laws? And as the character here points out, men in comic books look like a man’s idea of a perfect man. I don’t know anybody who’s like, “Yeah, I want a super buff guy, like scary inhumanly buff; the idea of pectoral muscles bigger than a flank steak makes my loins frothy.” NOBODY.

To be fair, you can use the same argument that not every guy wants what a girl looks like in comic books. I don’t think that’s generally true, but you can’t prove it wrong.
In addition, I’d like to add “shut the fuck up”. I’m a supporter of women’s right, but showing women with sexually attractive figures in skimpy clothing is not objectification. The definition of sexual objectification (which is the proper term for this kind of objectification) means to regard another merely as an object of sexual pleasure. To imply that making a comic book woman sexually attractive is to objectify all women, thereby making them objects of sexual pleasure is quite ridiculous.
Another point is that many girls want to be curvy and slim-waisted. Now of course that’s not everyone, but NOT ALL GUYS WANT TO BE HUGE BODY BUILDERS.
The tendency of many women to consider themselves victims of objectification is not over dramatic. BUT in context of a fucking comic book, you need to shut up. IF YOU DO NOT WANT MALES TO GENERALIZE ABOUT WOMEN THEN DO NOT GENERALIZE WOMEN.
The attitude of this piece is completely hypocritical, biassed and is propaganda.

Two things: “I’m a supporter of women’s right BUT…” is the #1 way to prove you really aren’t. And showing idealized scantily-clad female forms is the DEFINITION of objectification.
And I love how you make a point and follow it with “and you can’t prove it wrong!” Cool argument strategy, bro. Cool victim-blaming (“women bring this upon themselves by being offended”), cool false equivalence (“not all men are like that!”), cool hyperbole (“this is PROPAGANDA!!!!11”).
Comic books hypersexualize and objectify women. Period. I’m not making that up for attention. Have you ever read a comic book? Have you seen the recent redesigns? For fuck’s sake. Sit your ass down about how women should feel and react to things.
